Premier Performing Arts Celebrates 'Broadway Tonight' With Alan Menken and Friends 9/13

Premier Performing Arts hosts Broadway Tonight on Sunday, September 13, 2009 at 7:00 pm at the Tarrytown Music Hall, 13 Main St, Tarrytown, NY. The star-studded evening features eight-time Academy Award® winning composer Alan Menken.

The performance is being presented for the benefit of Premier Performing Arts, a non-profit professional theatre company producing in Westchester County. "We are thrilled that Alan Menken has agreed to be our special guest artist for this event, " states Producing Artistic Director Dennis Edenfield. "It's expected to be a wonderful and fully entertaining evening."

Mr. Menken is best known for his work with Walt Disney Pictures scoring numerous films, including the animated classics, "The Little Mermaid", "Beauty And The Beast", "Aladdin", "Pocahontas", "The Hunchback Of Notre Dame", and 2007's live-action hit, "Enchanted". In addition to his Oscars, other awards include 6 Grammys and 7 Golden Globes. He also composed the Broadway musicals Little Shop Of Horrors, Disney's Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid.

Appearing with Mr. Menken will be other theater luminaries like Broadway's Lee Roy Reams (42nd St.), Karen Mason (Mamma Mia) and others to be announced.

Tickets prices are $50 for balcony seating, $75 for orchestra seating, and $125 for premium seating tickets, which includes champagne meet and greet after the performance. Premier Performing Arts was founded in 2006 to serve as a vital artistic resource for the people, dedicated to presenting and preserving the art of live theatre in order to explore, illuminate and celebrate the human experience. PPA is headed by Producing Artistic Director, Dennis Edenfield. Mr. Edenfield is a successful director/choreographer and Broadway veteran, having appeared in several Broadway shows, most notably in the original production of A Chorus Line.
