BroadwayWorld has a first look inside rehearsals for GATE SHUT PANIC, the new play written by Zoe Nelms and directed by Keira Dig. The production will run May 28-30 at JACK. Check out the rehearsal photos below.

GATE SHUT PANIC takes place in 2008 and follows sisters Anna and Claire, whose shared obsessions with J-14 magazine quizzes, the music of Britney Spears, and emotional warfare spiral into chaos after Anna kidnaps her ex-boyfriend Dave. Dave’s arrival exposes fractures in the sisters’ volatile relationship in what is described as a pitch-black comedy about morbid thoughts and sisterly instinct gone terribly wrong.

The cast features Laura Scott Cary as Anna, Georgia Garrison as Claire, and Jonah Beckett as Dave.

HARLOT is a new theatre company focused on developing experimental work from emerging playwrights. Previous productions include DEAD BITCH, GATE SHUT PANIC, BAD TASTE, and DANSE MACABRE. In 2025, the company premiered ERASE ERASE at Grace Exhibition Space and presented its inaugural Plays to Watch Out For development series featuring works by Anike Sonuga, Catherine Bloom, and Sarah Groustra.
