A Very Naughty Greek Play ( Utopia Parkway ) is a new Musical Comedy, conceived and created by the Aquila Theatre Company, based on Aristophanes' Wasps. It tells the hilarious story of the political battle between a father and his son. The father is obsessed with his democratic power. He serves a bombastic, rabble-rousing, xenophobic politician who controls his people via the sound byte, championing simplistic moral values and the concepts of "freedom and liberty." His son is appalled by what is happening to his father, and attempts to cure him of this vile affliction, tempting him with the delights of the good life, swanky parties, fine food and wine, fashionable clothes and witty repartee. Of course, this is an Aristophanes play, so it all goes horribly wrong with comically disastrous results. Don't miss this bold new take on the work of one of the greatest of all comic playwrights.

The show runs through March 20 at the Baruch Performing Arts Center in Manhattan.
