Stage and screen legend Celeste Holm recently visited five-time Billboard award-winning 106.7 Lite FM host Valerie Smaldone at the latter's midday radio show.

Smaldone recently appeared Off-Broadway as a guest star in Spalding Gray: Stories Left to Tell and also made her Broadway debut as a guest speller in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Last year, she performed with Ally Sheedy and Karthryn Erbe in a production of Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues that benefited V-Day, the global movement to end violence against women and girls. She has also appeared in Spit it Out!, a play with music she cowrote, which was accepted into the 2005 Midtown International Theater Festival. The 2007 New York Emmy Gala Awards, Broadway Meets Country, Broadway Under the Stars and Broadway on Broadway, to name a few, have all welcomed Smaldone to their stages.

Holm is perhaps best known for creating the role of Ado Annie in Broadway's Oklahoma! and for her Oscar-winning film performance in Gentleman's Agreement.  She also starred in the Arlen-Harburg musical Bloomer Girl and received an Oscar nomination for her work as Karen Richards in the 1950 film classic All About Eve.  Other Broadway credits include The Time of Your Life, Anna Christie, Invitation to a March, Mame, Candida and I Hate Hamlet. Other film appearances include The Snake Pit, High Society and Tom Sawyer.  She has appeared in dozens of TV shows and in the 1990s, was a series regular on "Loving" and "Promised Land."
