The Zipper Factory was turned into NYMF Prep's Cafetorium Friday, May 18, as the New York Musical Theatre Festival hosted the second concert in its Spring Concert Series, "Broadway Battle of the Bands."  Featuring head-to-head competetition for Broadway bragging rights, hundreds of fans came to hear their favorite performers rock out and let loose in an old-fashioned, high school playoff.

With guest appearances by "NYMF Prep" "Principal" Michael Winther, "Student Body President" Leslie Kritzer, and "those goofy classmates" Jeff Bowen and Hunter Bell of [title of show], Tastiskank (Kate Reinders of Wicked and Sarah Litzsinger of Beauty and the Beast), Tom Kitt (composer, High Fideltiy) and The Tom Kitt Band, Daphne Rubin-Vega (Rent), The Petersons, and Spring Awakening's John Gallagher Jr.'s band, Old Springs Pike battled it out.

At the end of the night, through audience vote and thunderous applause, Old Springs Pike was named the winner!
