On Friday, February 17th, Julie Stevens and Gil Cates Jr. debuted their new documentary about the Annie orphans called "Life After Tomorrow"."  The film reunites over 40 women who played orphans in the show's original run on Broadway from 1977-1983. The documentary also represents a unique and personal story of its co-director, Julie Stevens, who was a cast member. The film explores the life-changing experience of being a child performer in Annie and provides a candid look at how they dealt with growing up following early stardom. Life After Tomorrow reveals many of the seldom-discussed aspects of professional children, including the impact on families, friendships, schooling and the search for a "normal" childhood when the acting career stalls.

The film  features appearances by Emmy Award winner Sarah Jessica Parker, Allison Smith, Danielle Brisebois, Emmy Award winner Martha Byrne, Harve Presnell, Charles Strouse & Martin Charnin among others. Life After Tomorrow will be wonderfully nostalgic to the millions of fans of Annie, while also serving as a cautionary tale for those considering a show business career for a child. The film is an honest look at the difficult transition child performers must make into adulthood. As former Annie, Kristi Coombs, says in the film, "I feel like my career could not have peaked at 10."
