Photo Flash: GAG Gives Thanks for A Beautiful (and Naughty) Evening at GAGSTRAVAGANZA!

It was a packed housed at the Slipper Room for the fund raising show "GAGSTRAVAGANZA" on Wednesday June 7th at The Slipper Room, NYC.

Gays Against Guns NY is an inclusive direct action group of LGBTQ people and their allies committed to nonviolently breaking the gun industry's chain of death-investors, manufacturers, the NRA and politicians who block strong gun laws. We are New York-based but work with GAG chapters in other cities to ensure safety for all individuals, particularly vulnerable communities such as people of color, women, people who struggle with mental health issues, LGBTQ people and religious minorities. The Slipper Room is the brain child of performer and producer James Habacker. When it opened in 1999 neo-burlesque was in its infancy. Before that time there had been some random shows in lofts and bars around the city, but the Slipper Room was the first venue built specifically to showcase the work of this burgeoning new collective.
