Frances McDormand hosted a couscous dinner for The Wooster Group's 2015 Benefit, on Monday, October 5th at The Performing Garage, 33 Wooster Street, NYC. Guests included Laurie Anderson, Steve Buscemi, Louis C.K., Maggie Gyllenhaal & Peter Sarsgaard, Elizabeth LeCompte, Maura Tierney, Kate Valk, and Martha Wainwright. The benefit co-chairs were Laurie Anderson, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard, Juman Malouf and Wes Anderson, Sarah Jessica Parker, Norman Reedus, Maura Tierney, and Martha Wainwright.

The group reassembled The Performing Garage to accommodate 100 guests for cocktails, dinner and a performance. Chef Alejandro Alcocer of Green Brown Orange served a menu that included a mixed hummus platter, arugula salad, satur farms vegetables tagine, roasted leg of lamb over couscous, and a lamb merguez. Martha Wainwright sang Edith Piaf while guests dined on dessert.

The Wooster Group is a company of artists who make works for theater, dance, and media. They are based in New York City at The Performing Garage at 33 Wooster Street, where they develop and perform their work. The Group also performs at larger theaters in New York and their productions tour nationally and internationally.
