Photo Flash: First Look at YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN at the Manatee Players
The Manatee Players, Inc. will bring Mel Brooks' YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN to the stage of the Manatee Performing Arts Center. The production runs October 24 and run through November 10. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast onstage below!
A wickedly inspired re-imagining of the Frankenstein legend based on Mel Brooks' classic comedy masterpiece, the story follows bright young Dr. Frankenstein (that's Fronkensteen) as he attempts to complete his grandfather's masterwork and bring a corpse to life. Together with his oddly shaped and endearing helper Igor (that's Eye-gor), his curvaceous lab assistant Inga, and in spite of his incredibly self-involved madcap fiance? Elizabeth, Frankenstein succeeds in creating a monster -- but not without scary and quite often hilarious complications.
The cast includes Brian F. Finnerty as Frederick Frankenstein, Mark Netherly as Igor, Karen Lalosh as Frau Blu?cher, Danae DeShazer as Elizabeth, Andrea Wright as Inga, Travis Rogers as Victor Frankenstein, William E. Masuck as The Monster and Tom Westlake, Craig Engle, Robert Austin Phil Croome, Tyler Johnson, Nick Kim, Seth Bear, Zachary Vance Hlavac, Shawn Adams, Tahlia Byers, Katie Zanders, Eliza Engle, Corinne Woodland, Allison Rekow and Linda Roeming-Engle.
The show is being directed and choreographed by Dewayne Barrett with J.J. Novembrini as musical director.
Performances are Tuesday - Thursday at 7:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets range from $26-$36 including facility fee for adults, $15 including facility fee for teachers and $13 including facility fee for students.
