If you've ever wondered about all the incredible artistic people that live in our area, Bay Street Theatre's new "Own Town" series is the place to be on Thursday afternoons at 4pm. Each week, Artistic Director Murphy Davis chats with some of the most interesting people who live and work in our area, from artists and authors to playwrights and producers.

On Thursday, June 25, Ellen Adler is in the hot seat with Mr. Davis. Ms. Adler is the daughter of one of the greatest acting teachers in America, Stella Adler. She will discuss the Adler theatrical dynasty dating back to the early 1900s when 3 year old Stella graced the stage of her father's Yiddish Art Theater. The famous Stella Adler Studio of Acting is still in the family and run by Ellen's son Tom.

Other participants include Kathleen Marshall on July 16, Tony Award-winning director and choreographer of shows such as Grease, The Pajama Game, Little Shop of Horrors, and Kiss Me, Kate, to name a few; ‘Floral Designers to the Stars' Michael Grim and Jim Osborn of Bridgehampton Florist on July 23; Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Lanford Wilson on July 30; and artist April Gornik on August 20th, whose paintings appear in some of the world's finest museums. Two surprise guests have yet to be announced for August 27 and September 3rd.

Tickets to the "Our Town" series are $20 each or $135 for a subscription, a savings of 25% over individual tickets. For tickets visit www.baystreet.org or call or visit the Box Office at 631-725-9500, open daily from 11am to 6pm.
