TGP, LLC announces casting for a stage reading of a new rock musical: The Great Pretender. The Great Pretender, is inspired by the story of one of the most talented and influential singers in rock history; Freddie Mercury. The stage reading is planned for March 2011.

Directed by Douglas Moser, the cast includes Joel Perez as Freddie Mercury and features Zi Alikan, Langley Brandon, Brian Walker, Jim Bray, Dan Rosenbaum,ThayneJasperson,ChristopherDeRosa, Lindsay O?Neil, Mark Lanham, Ed Romanoff, Alex Quiroga, Bart Shatto, Darrel Blackburn, Dennis Stowe, Scoop Sloane, Logan James Hall, Stephanie Spano, and Jennifer Mathie.

According to press notes, The Great Pretender is ultimately the story of one man?s quest for the fulfillment of his creative soul. It tackles the issue of personal identity, acceptance and loyalty beyond one?s differences. It is a poignant testimony of a rise to stardom, while acknowledging its bittersweet casualties.

The Great Pretender is produced by On Que Entertainment and Pluto Productions; Michael T.
Clarkston is general manager. The creative team features a script written by Ryan Blanchard with
music direction and arrangements by Julie McBride, musical staging by Josh Bergasse, Associate
producer is Tom Kosis, Production Stage Manager is Jason A Quinn, and Art Direction by Norbert
Fruteau DeLaclos.
