The Broadway at Birdland concert series is happy to announce that songwriters Michael Kooman and Chris Dimond, who won the 2010 Jonathan Larson Grant, will be presenting "Out Of Our Heads: The Music of Kooman & Dimond" on Monday, July 18 at 7pm.

An amazing cast of Broadway performers will be joining them including Patina Miller (2011 Tony Nominee for Sister Act), Julia Murney (Wicked, Lennon), Heidi Blickenstaff (The Addams Family), Kyle Dean Massey (Next to Normal, Xanadu, Wicked), Matt Doyle (War Horse, Bye Bye Birdie, Spring Awakening), Anderson Davis (Les Miserables, South Pacific) and Jeremy Jordan (Rock of Ages). The show will be directed by Kate Pines, and produced by Michael Alshooler of MNA Entertainment INC.

"Out Of Our Heads" will be a release party/concert for the cd of the same name, and will feature Broadway performers singing the songs of Kooman & Dimond. The cd is a compilation of songs that blur the lines between musical theater and pop, running the gamut from the absurd to the sublime. The recording features the vocal talents of Kerry Butler, Christopher Sieber, Patina Miller, Heidi Blockenstaff, Matt Doyle, Kyle Dean Massey and more. Audience members will receive a complimentary cd.

Michael Kooman (music) and Christopher Dimond (book and lyrics) are the authors of the musicals Dani Girl, which has been workshopped and developed at the Kennedy Center, American Conservatory Theatre, Cherry Lane Theatre, and the ASCAP/Disney Musical Theater Workshop; Golden Gate (Williamstown Theatre Festival); Homemade Fusion (London's Ambassadors Theater); and the family-friendly Christmas musical Junior Claus.
