"Born from the desire of being near our roots and at home", "Pasadía Familiar" means "family outing or family field trip". Pasadía Familiar is a diáspora inspired sketch comedy, improv and stand-up collective from Puerto Rico based in New York City. The "Sketch" comedy show features actors Pedro De Leon, Jenyvette Del Valle, GilLuis Perez, Cristina Jorge, Larissa Santiago, Maria Jose Perez Canals and Carmelo Cintron. Following the steps of successful boricua comedy shows such as "Los Garcia" and most recent the pioneers of live "sketch" comedy "Teatro Breve".

The group's initiative is to bring a little piece of our island to the growing Puerto Rican diaspora, living in New York City. Pasadia Familiar wants to present human condition based on the latino experience in the United States, without excluding foreign views to ours. The production offers a multicultural and diverse first class entertainment hand by hand with a political, social and critical constructive message.

Last April, the group premiered its first full-house, sold-out show as "Opening act" for the US tour of Puerto Rican comedIan Chente Ydrach in his Teatro Flamboyan at the Clemente Soto Velez Cultural Center debut in NYC. Now, a new Off-Broadway comedy show is on its way, produced by Gian Higuera. Pasadia Familiar comes back to the stage July 14, 2017 starting off a series of shows throughout the year with acclaimed comedian Roy Sanchez-Bahamonde from Teatro Breve. The sketches will touch recently controversial topics on Paro Nacional, Statehood polls, UPR, Political status and many others.
