The Off-Broadway interactive event The Fantasy Party is getting a new location, a new time, and some new musical numbers.  Starting April 21, the show will move to China Club, 268 West 47th St., with performances Saturdays at 8:30pm. Until that time, performances will continue on Saturdays at 10:15pm at the Edison Hotel, 221 W. 46th St.

The Fantasy Party was written and directed by Larry Pellegrini, who also directs the Off-Broadway hit Tony n' Tina's Wedding.  Pellegrini expects The Fantasy Party to do for Girls' Night Out what Tony n' Tina's Wedding has done for marriage ceremonies.  The interactive event includes a drag queen MC, male dancers, adult games, a lap dancing contest plus a hilarious variety of activities designed to keep female guests laughing all night long.

"We are thrilled to be moving the show to China Club," Pellegrini said.  "It's one of New York City's most legendary night spots and its sound system and light show will only make The Fantasy Party that much more exciting!"  Pellegrini said he is adding a few new numbers to the show to take advantage of all the China Club space has to offer.

The Fantasy Party is produced Off-Broadway by Jeff Gitlin, Raphael Berko, and Pellegrini in association with Gary Shaffer.  Gitlin and Berko are the New York and Las Vegas producers of Tony n' Tina's Wedding.  The Fantasy Party recently opened a successful production in Miami.

The Fantasy Party features costumes by Juan De Armas and Concetta Rose Rella, and choreography by Janine Molinari. Pellegrini directs.

The China Club first came to prominence as a music industry hangout where some of the world's biggest stars often performed in fabulous impromptu jam sessions, i.e. David Bowie, Michael Bolton, Bruce Springsteen, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Eric Clapton, and many more. Often referred to as the "Living Room of Rock and Roll," the club has since become a magnet for celebrities from all fields - sports, modeling, television, film - and earned a reputation as one of America's most glamorous nightspots. On any given night it is not unusual to spot Bruce Willis, Brooke Shields, Mark Messier, Lawrence Taylor, Eddie Murphy, Rod Stewart -- the list is endless.

Starting April 21, The Fantasy Party performs Saturdays at 8:30 pm.  Tickets, which include free post-show admission to China Club, are $49.99 - $59.99 and are available by phone at 212-352-3101, or online at www.theatermania.com.  For more information, visit www.fantasypartyshow.com.
