Norman Lasiter Will Perform STILL GRAY AND FEELIN' GROOVY and GRAY PRIDE This Summer

Norman Lasiter will return to the cabaret stage this summer with not one—but two exciting performances.

At DON'T TELL MAMA on July 25 at 7 PM, Lasiter will premiere his brand-new show, Still Gray and Feelin' Groovy. This fresh, feel-good follow-up to his hit Gray Pride celebrates the joy, resilience, and humor of aging with style—blending sharp storytelling, heartfelt moments, and an eclectic musical mix that proves life only gets richer with time. He'll be joined by his incomparable music director of 30 years, Christopher Marlowe.

Then, at the ARTS PROJECT OF CHERRY GROVE (APCG) COMMUNITY HOUSE on July 30 at 7 PM, he brings his acclaimed Gray Pride to the Cherry Grove Community House and Theatre—America's oldest LGBTQ community arts organization. With its heartfelt blend of nostalgia, wit, and hard-earned perspective, Gray Pride is a perfect match for this historic venue and its legacy of celebrating queer voices across generations. Lasiter is once again joined by Christopher Marlowe at the piano.

Last summer, renowned NYC cabaret reviewer, Scott Barbarino, named “Gray Pride” a must-see pick of the week and noted that: “Norman Lasiter's ‘Gray Pride,' a musical memoir, is a beautiful show in which Norm, through a mix of witty, heartfelt songs and stories, takes you on a deeply personal journey as an older, out, and proud gay man. The cherry on this cake of a show is Christopher Marlowe at the piano. Some historic perspective for you—Chris Marlowe was Nancy LaMott's pianist/arranger. Need I say more? See the show!”

Lasiter's renowned music director, writer, arranger, and pianist, Christopher Marlowe, is the recipient of the MAC Award for 1996 Music Director of the Year and Backstage's BISTRO Award and the MAC Award for 1996 Recording of the Year for his acclaimed collaboration with the late, great singer Nancy LaMott.

Norman Lasiter in “Still Gray and Feelin' Groovy” plays Don't Tell Mama (343 West 46th Street) on July 25th at 7pm. There is a $20 cover charge (CASH ONLY) and $20 minimum (must include 2 drinks) with a food menu available. Reservations and information are available at www.donttellmamanyc.com.

Norman Lasiter in “Gray Pride” plays at the Arts Project of Cherry Grove Community House (180 Bayview Walk) on July 30th at 7pm. Tickets are $30 for APCG members and $35 for non-members. Tickets and information are available at www.artsprojectcg.org.

MORE ABOUT NORMAN LASITER

Raised in Indianapolis, Norman ventured to the vibrant cities of New York City and Palm Springs, California, where he spent three enriching decades honing his craft before returning to his Indianapolis roots nine years ago. In Manhattan, he passionately pursued his singing career, gracing the local cabaret clubs with his voice, being spotlighted numerous times at the iconic Carnegie Hall, lending his vocals to an original Sony Music track, and creating two solo albums. Southern California saw Norman living out his dream as a celebrated cabaret artist, captivating audiences in Palm Springs, Los Angeles, and back in Manhattan with his performances. After his return to Indianapolis and a brief hiatus, Norman made a triumphant comeback to the stage with his new show, "Gray Pride." This show quickly became the talk of the town, heralded as a "theatre highlight." Building on this momentum, he  has delivered numerous sold-out, critically acclaimed performances. Norman frequently lends his cabaret talents to benefit organizations that are meaningful to him, such as the Damien Center, SAGE/EPIC (Elder Pride Indy Collaborative), and the Rancho Mirage Public Library.
