Nikki Blonsky Set for Broadway Sessions, 1/15

BROADWAY SESSIONS is described as an evening of musical performances, games and open mic featuring a new Broadway guest each week. The show is created and hosted by Ben Cameron (Bway Wicked, Aida and Footloose) and features musical director Joshua Stephen Kartes on piano.

This Thursday, January 15th, Broadway Sessions welcomes Film and Television star Nikki Blonsky, Laurissa Romain, Kelly Brandeburg and more.

-Nikki Blonsky is best known for her award winning star turn as Tracy Turnblad in the 2007 film Hairspray. Blonsky has starred in the Lifetime Original movie Queen Sized and the feature Waiting For Forever. Her television credits include ABC Family's Huge, Ugly Betty, Valemont and Smash.

-16 year old Laurissa Romain was featured as 'Ngana' in the Lincoln Center revival of South Pacific and was recently seen in the Chris Rock film Top Five. Kelly Brandeburg is a California based musical theater actress. Favorite roles include Lucy (Jekyll and Hyde), Martha (The Secret Garden) and Nancy (Oliver). Her debut album "Where Dreams are Born" is available on iTunes.

-The evening will also feature performances by actor/singer Isaac Matthews (Rent at Gallery Players)

Broadway Sessions takes place every Thursday evening at The Laurie Beechman Theater inside The West Bank Café located at 407 west 42nd street (corner of 42ndstreet and 9th avenue). Reservations strongly recommended 212-695-6909. Doors open at 10pm for pre show open mic. Showtime at 11. $5 drink specials all night. $5 cover includes a donation to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids.
