On Wednesday, November 9th NewFilmmakers presents two Screening Programs. The NewFilmmakers NY Series screens at Anthology Film Archives on the Lower East Side at 32 Second Avenue & 2nd Street. Tickets for the whole evening at NewFilmmakers NY are only $6 and are available at the Anthology Box Office the night of screening.

6:00 PM Documentary Series

Brian Sizensky BULLYCAM
16-year-old Kelly Wilson is relentlessly bullied at school. In an effort to expose the bullies, Kelly, along with her best friend, Tanya, use a camcorder to document the abuse.

7:30 PM Short Film Program

Richie Siegel ABSENT
A son must confront his father and tell him that he is leaving the life that has been handed to him.

David Daudelin ONLY WAY OUT
A student in deep despair decides to end his life. He writes a short letter to his friend, delivers it very early in the morning, and heads out to do it.

Brian Velsor FINE YOUNG CANNIBALS
'Fine Young Cannibals' is a black comedy about a shy coroner/organ trafficker.

Yoav Netanyahu HEAD ABOVE WATER
Enter the roller coaster ride that is Keith. He has it all, youth, good looks talent and charisma but behind it all lies a broken soul afflicted by manic depression which he hides from others.

Morgan Evans THE REST OF CAESAR
Still struggling to cope with a traumatic incident, Stan finds himself heckled by his students, taunted by his fellow faculty members, and forced to elicit the help of an overambitious student.

When Phillip is abandoned in the desert by his Step Father, he takes refuge with two orphans living in an old mining town. They band together in their struggle for survival but the group violently unravels after unthinkable murder.

Trent Tooley & Jackie Garry NO TIME FOR COLD FEET
No Time for Cold Feet is a documentary on the Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt. For four years filmmakers Trent Tooley and Jackie Garry followed fanatic medallion hunters in their quest to find the "Holy Grail of Saint Paul" -- the King Boreas Treasure Medallion.

8:15 PM Animation Group Screening

Leah Beeferman UNTITLED
Mathematical graphs, scanned drawings, and computer-generated 3D shapes in a field of human sound.

Stephanie Wuertz BODILY HEAVENS II
The second in a series of works concerned with uncovering the repressed in vision and by authoritative discourse surrounding the body.

Olivia Wyatt BANGKOK
Documentary animation based on an interview with drag queen "Freida Bangkok" about the process of becoming a woman.

Amy Ruhl HOW MATA HARI LOST HER HEAD AND FOUND HER BODY
An allegorical biography, "How Mata Hari Lost Her Head and Found Her Body" serves a radical re-telling of the infamous dancer, courtesan and spy's life, offering new dimension and desire to the femme fatale archetype.

Alice Cohen FOR CLAIRE
A re-edited version of psychedelic and ethereal images seen through smokescreens of swirling colors.

9:15 PM Feature Presentation

Leiser Brothers GLITCH IN THE GRID
Three artists struggling against the grid of society find spiritual renewal. Premiered at Annecy, won Gold Medal at the Park City Film Festival, is the Opening Night film at the San Francisco International Animation Festival.
