On October 4th, 2017 New York's top comedians and special guests, including New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, will appear at The First Amendment: Use It Before You Lose It benefit comedy show at Caroline's on Broadway (1626 Broadway, NYC) from 7:00pm - 9:30pm. More details at https://secure.actblue.com/donate/thepeoplepresents.

The Comics:

Emma Willmann (Late Show with Stephen Colbert, "The Check Spot" on Sirius XM, HBO's "Crashing")
Gregg Rogell (Hit FX show "Louie", "Conan", NBC's "Tonight Show", Comedy Central)
Greer Barnes (Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Late Night with David Letterman, Amazon's "Red Oaks")
Mia Jackson (NBC's Last Comic Standing, movie "Mother's Day", New Face at Montreal's Just For Laughs Festival)
Nimesh Patel (Writer for "White House Correspondent's Dinner", writer for Chris Rock for the Oscars, Comedy Central)
Ray Ellin (Comedy Central, Nat Geo's "StarTalk", host of "LateNet", host of "Movie Loft")

All proceeds from the show will support first-time Democratic candidates running in Virginia's 2017 House of Delegates race. New York's comedy and creative communities are supporting the Virginia candidates because the election is considered progressives' first chance -- since 2016 -- to turn the national political tide. But to win, we need to get Democrats to the polls. Candidates are running on shoe-string budgets. Media will help candidates gain name recognition and motivate people to cast votes on their behalf.

To answer this need, The People PAC teamed up with One Vote at a Time and Why Virginia Matters to produce short-form, candidate profile video ads in 16 contested districts. The People will target the ads via social media at Democrats, using new techniques The People is developing to land compelling content on the head of a pin.
Ticket prices range from $25 for Revolutionaries on a Budget to $2,500 host committee packages for, um, Cat. 4 Libtards. To purchase tickets visit https://secure.actblue.com/donate/thepeoplepresents.
