Molly Lieber and Eleanor Smith's Blanket premieres at The Tank on November 6th and 7th at 7:30pm.

From the artists:

"It is a piece about trying and trust. We test out what it means to look at somebody. In Blanket, there are periods of waiting, and waiting for each other, and attempting to make decisions together. We each try to make the experience we want possible, but with the other person, and we want the other person to understand this experience. We also want the audience to understand it. The challenge is coming together with all that want, and trying together to make something happen.
We try to do stuff to each other. We have found movement by trying to combine our bodies and move through each other.
Periods of remembering and questioning separate the dancers. We act differently when we are separated from one another and we dance differently when we are aren't dancing together. We leave each other and come back and see if we're still the same.
We have found that the closer we look at ourselves, the more we appreciate each other- we think this could be something universal. We are still interested in our insecurities, and whether it is possible to show another person how much they mean to you without showing-off. This question also refers to the relationship between the performers and the audience. We want the audience to be entertained. We also want them to relate to everything that is happening onstage."

Original live music by Aaron Harris and Yos Munro.
