Musical of Musicals star Lovette George passed away on September 6th.

George was a 2004 Drama Desk-nominee for her work in the hit Off-Broadway revue, which affectionately parodied a number of musical theatre styles.  George had been with the show in its original run at the York Theatre Company, as well as its transfer production at Dodger (now New World) Stages.

George's Broadway credits included Marie Christine, Carousel and Uptown...It's Hot!  Off-Broadway, she appeared in A New Brain, The Green Heart and Eating Raoul.

The cause of death was cited as ovarian cancer.
