Musée Romeo's : Montréal Inaugure Le Tout Premier Musée D'Art Urbain Au Canada After Barcelona, Amsterdam, Berlin and St. Petersburg, Montreal now has its own street art museum. Located in the Mile End neighbourhood, the romeo's museum aims to democratize urban art and create bridges in unsual spaces to gather the community around what makes us think and dream.

In total, 24 murals created by 24 Montreal artists now adorn the stairwells of 5445 and 5455 De Gaspé, two buildings that reflect the Montreal's urban life and creative spirit.

"We wanted to create an extraordinary gathering of Montreal visual art, taking up the challenge of creating a work of art on concrete, in a completely unexpected place. The final selection is made up of painters, illustrators, muralists as well as current art artists, " emphasizes Nicolas Duvernois, project developer of the romeo's museum and founder, CEO of romeo's gin. According to an original idea from the Montreal-based company romeo's gin, for whom art is at the heart of its mission and values, the romeo's museum can also count on the support of major partners such as Sun Life Financial, UBISOFT and ALLIED. Together, they decided to join their strenghts to create a new model of cultural involvement and to integrate art into a transitional space. LOWE'S also joined the project by offering every artist the material they needed to create.

The romeo's museum, which shows how urban art now has its place more than ever, represents the largest gathering of urban artists in Montreal. In addition of being free, the museum is open to all, all year long, 24 hours a day. This is an excellent opportunity to discover facets of Montreal's creativity and history.
