Morrison Talks Monteith Tragedy & Performs On LIVE!

Multi-talented stage and screen performer Matthew Morrison appeared on popular daytime chat show LIVE! WITH KELLY & MICHAEL this weekend and discussed his recent engagement, as well as his recently deceased GLEE co-star Cory Monteith - and, of course, performed, as well - in a new clip just released.

Asked directly how the GLEE Cast is coping with the tragic and sudden death of Monteith, Morrison states: "You know, I think [we are doing] the best we possibly can be," before taking a heavy pause.

He continues, "I guess the good thing when something like this happens is, you know, we are such a family and we really came together."

He adds, "I remember when it happened I was up until 5 AM just talking to every single cast member. We all just reached out to each other. It was a bonding time, but it was - is - incredibly hard."

Onto breezier subjects, as far as his recently confirmed engagement goes, Morrison vividly remembers of popping the question, "I said the thing and pulled out the ring - and, she didn't say yes!" he says with a laugh. "She couldn't breathe!"

Plus, he even sings a bit of THE LION KING before taking the stage to perform a song from his new theatre-themed album WHERE IT ALL BEGAN.
