Miller Theatre Continues Dinnerstein-Curated Bach With GAMBA SONATAS And Early Music With ORLANDO CONSORT

Miller Theatre at Columbia University School of the Arts continues its BACH and EARLY MUSIC series in November with Bach Gamba Sonatas featuring pianist Simone Dinnerstein and cellist Alexis Pia Gerlach, Thursday, November 17, 8:00 P.M. at Miller Theatre (2960 Broadway at 116th Street) and Early Music at Church of St. Mary the Virgin Orlando Consortwith 1521: Josquin's World on Saturday, November 19, 8:00 P.M. at Church of St. Mary the Virgin (145 W. 46th Street)

"The Miller's enviable set of early music concerts" (The New York Times 2022 Fall Preview) continues with the brilliant Orlando Consort, who mark the end of an era with their final season together. For their farewell program, they reflect on Josquin Desprez, the greatest and most influential composer the western world had yet seen at the time of his death 500 years ago. Audiences will experience a magical sequence of music that reflects on the composer and his world. This is the public's last chance to hear one of the most joyous and legendary vocal ensembles of our time.
