Mike Toomey to Headline Lucy's Comedy Cafe at Raue Center This Month

Raue Center For The Arts is excited to announce a special Lucy's Comedy Café! Join host John DaCosse, headliner Mike Toomey and special guests Andrea Darlis, David Hochberg and Hannah Stanley for a WGN Comedy Special at 8:30 p.m. on May 20, 2016.

Headliner Mike Toomey is a regular performer on WGN Morning News and serves as the announcer. With his sharp delivery, quick wit, and unique style, Toomey has been a favorite at comedy clubs and special events since 1982. Toomey has appeared in concert with names such as George Carlin, Wayne Newton, Crosby, Stills & Nash, and Reba McEntire. He has performed on numerous TV programs including HBO's "U.S. Comedy Arts Festival," MTV's "Half Hour Comedy Hour" and A&E's "Comedy on the Road."

Lucy's Comedy Café host John DaCosse is known as a WGN Radio personality. With over 30 years in stand-up comedy, the brilliant DaCosse has developed a solid reputation nationwide. He has opened for big names like Ellen DeGeneres, George Lopez, Craig Ferguson and Billy Gardell. DaCosse has also served as an audience warm-up for Rosie O'Donnell and "The Oprah Winfrey Show." DaCosse has appeared on NBC, Comedy Central and TBS. He, along with his character voices, can be heard regularly on "The Steve Cochran Show" on WGN Radio.

Now in its 8th Season and selling out almost every event, Lucy's Comedy Café is one of Raue Center's longest running programs and the cornerstone of their comedy programming. This hilarious series has featured amazing regional and national comedians including Dwayne Kennedy, Rocky LaPorte, Patti Vasquez, John DaCosse, Mike Preston, Pat Tomasulo, Tom Benker and so many more.
