(On Meryl Romer's Metropolitan Room engagement, NY Tour, Fall ‘09):
It's been a long time since I've heard such a luscious and soulful performance. Meryl took the house by storm! ~ Joe Franklin, Bloomberg Radio

Singer-songwriter Meryl Romer made her debut as a solo artist with her album So Sure released by Lady Pearl Music in April 2009. Since its release, Romer has been playing shows throughout her home state of Colorado and returning periodically to her birth place of New York City steadily building a broad fan base that has fallen under her spell, and what a nice spell it is to be under. Romer's music brims with nostalgic jazz motifs resembling the classic creases of Ella Fitzgerald and the satiny pitch of Doris Day. Romer's rendition of American standards like "Lady Is A Tramp", "Big Splender," and "Boulevard Of Broken Dreams" is dreamy with a pinch of heady emotions.

Romer has been busy performing tracks from So Sure live in concert halls across America where jazz music is played and accompanied by musicians who are classic jazz aficionados like herself. Meryl loves to see new faces in the crowd and can guarantee a night that you will want to go on forever. - Susan Frances Jazzreview.com
