Melba Moore Comes To Woodstock Playhouse

Producer/Executive Producer, Elynn Diamond will present Tony Award Winner, four-time Grammy Nominee, and R&B Hall Of Fame inductee, Melba Moore In Concert.
Elynn's Co-Producer is Emmy Award-Winner Rick Traum. Ms. Moore will perform at the iconic Woodstock Playhouse on Saturday, March 30, 2019.

Guest Artist, Jermaine Paul, winner of NBC's The Voice, will be opening the evening's event.

On Back-Up Vocals for the evening are the magnificent soul-filled voices of: Victoria Lecta Cave, Jonathan Blake Flemings and Tamara Whatley.

Ms. Moore has been singing, recording, and performing on stages, nationally and internationally, over the past five decades. Since recording her first album, I Got Love,
in 1970 on Mercury Records, Ms. Moore has released 16 albums to date, has hit the
US Billboard R&B album chart over a dozen times, and hit #1 on the R&B singles chart twice throughout her illustrious 50-year music career. She started mesmerizing live audiences at a young age on Broadway, receiving the prestigious Tony Award for her portrayal of Lutiebelle in Purlie in 1975.

Producer/Executive Producer, Elynn Diamond, is filled with gratitude for this opportunity to work with Ms. Moore again. In 2015, Elynn produced a Benefit-Tribute Concert, starring the Legendary Melba Moore!

Melba Moore In Concert is the first of four "2019 In Concert Series" that Diamond is producing in a year-long chain of events at Woodstock Playhouse. Diamond created the now ongoing "In Concert Series" with the vision of having each concert filled with explosive, phenomenal talent.

Diamond shares, "There is a magic that happens within the 'Experience of LIVE Concerts' that embraces both the audience and artist as becoming ONE, and this Oneness is Glorious Freedom For The Soul!"

To create this "2019 In Concert Series," Diamond brought together an 'Inspiring Team' of industry pro's in the production, theater and music worlds: Director, Wayne Cilento, who is one of the most acclaimed triple-threats in the Entertainment Industry. Nominated for seven Tony Awards, he won his first for his breakthrough choreography on the historic Broadway production of The Who's Tommy; Award-winning Musical Director, Daryl Kojak, who has worked with a long list of talent, including Robin Williams, Phoebe Snow, Jane Monheit, Kristin Chenoweth; Emmy Award-winning Lighting Designer David Grill whose lighting achievements include the Pan American Games Rio 2007 and the Opening Ceremony Salt Lake 2002 Olympic Winter Games; Stage Manager Howard Kolins who has successfully produced several high-profile events including The Radio City Christmas Spectacular in NYC, three MTV Video Music Awards and two Super Bowl Half Time Shows; and Producer, Rick Traum, who is an Emmy Award Winner and entertainment executive with numerous television credits.
He was Commercial Producer for The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson,
and was Director of Late Night Programming for NBC and "Executive In Charge" of Saturday Night Live. Capping the ELYNN DIAMOND Presents...
