Spamalot co-stars Marin Mazzie and Jonathan Hadary will leave Camelot for a few hours to co-host BC/EFA's 18th Annual Gypsy of the Year Competition.

In addition, some of the judges have been announced as: actresses Marian Seldes and Jill Clayburgh, choreographer Christopher Gattelli, BC/EFA donors Judy Dove and Marion Duckworth Smith and Continental Airlines' Ned Walker. More will be announced at a later date.

This year's competition, benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, will take place at the Neil Simon Theatre (250 West 52nd Street) on Monday, December 4 at 4:30PM and Tuesday, December 5 at 2:00PM.

The Competition is "the all-singing, all-dancing, all-dishing extravaganza, is easily the biggest party in town!  Organizers of the event are expecting performers from the theatre community's biggest and most lavish productions, including Beauty and the Beast, A Chorus Line, The Color Purple, The Drowsy Chaperone, Hairspray, Jersey Boys, The Lion King, Mamma Mia!, The Phantom of the Opera, The Producers, Rent, Tarzan, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, The Wedding Singer, Wicked, and more."

The Gypsy of the Year Competition is the culmination of six weeks of fund raising when shows on and Off-Broadway engage in a friendly competition to see which show can raise the most money for the organization.  Awards are presented to the companies that raise the most money and for the winning presentation.

BC/EFA is the nation's leading industry-based, nonprofit AIDS fund raising and grant making organization.  BC/EFA is the on-going, committed response from the American theater community to an urgent worldwide health crisis.  By drawing upon the talents, resources and generosity of theatrical community, BC/EFA raises funds for AIDS-related causes across the United States.  Since it's founding in 1988, BC/EFA has raised over $100 million for critically needed services for people with AIDS, HIV, or HIV-related illnesses.
