Marymount Manhattan College presents an all-new production of Sophie Treadwell's landmark play, Machinal, directed by professor Ellen Orenstein.

Based on the real-life case of convicted murderer Ruth Snyder, Machinal follows a Young Woman through multiple "episodes" of day-to-day life and her systematic oppression by the mechanized 1920's world around her.

Both inspiring and frightening, Machinal is a cautionary tale of society and feminism, and brought to frenetic life by a cast of MMC students under the vibrant and visceral direction of Ms. Orenstein.

Machinal runs October 12-15 (10/12-14, 8pm, 10/14-15, 2pm). Tickets are available at Eventbrite. If performances are sold out, a wait list will be started at the box office the day of the performance.
