Mary Testa, the celebrated Broadway actress and star of film and television, will be the "Celebrity Auctioneer" for the Live Auction of Bideawee's Monday Night Gala on June 7, 2010. Bideawee's annual Gala is the organization's premier fundraising event that celebrates animal welfare and Bideawee's mission to promote and support safe, loving, long-term relationships between people and companion animals.
In addition to appearing on screen this summer in the release of the feature film, "Eat, Pray, Love," staring Julia Roberts, Ms. Testa's Broadway career spans leading roles in many of the theater world's most popular and highly acclaimed musicals. She most recently received a Drama Desk nomination for her performance in "Xanadu," the Tony-nominated Best Musical by the playwright Douglas Carter Bean, loosely based on the 1980 film. She then went on to appear in the revival of "Guys and Dolls," during the 2008-2009 Broadway season."We are thrilled that Mary will actively participate in the Gala's Live Auction," said Nancy Taylor, President & CEO of Bideawee Inc.
