The Café Carlyle (located in The Carlyle Hotel, Madison Avenue at 76th Street), will present elegant chanteuse Mary Cleere Haran in a four-week engagement beginning Tuesday, April 4th and continuing through April 29th.
Haran (who last played the Café Carlyle in 2001), will present an evening of music by Rodgers & Hart, Porter, Mercer and Jobim, among others. Also included in her program will be several "cowboy songs" written by Broadway composers including "Don't Fence Me In," "Way Out West," "Jingle Jangle Jingle," and "I'm An Old Cowhand," as well as a tribute to the late Bobby Short. Haran will be accompanied on piano by her musical director Tedd Firth."Mary Cleere Haran, one of the most renowned singers of 'The Great American Songbook,' has garnered rave reviews from audiences and critics alike for her witty, sophisticated performances.
