New York's Culture Project and Washington D.C.'s Corcoran Gallery of Art will present back-to-back readings of Lynn Redgrave in her new solo play, Nightingale, on Tuesday September 27 at 8 p.m. (NY) and Wednesday, September 28 at 7 p.m. (DC).  Written and performed by Ms. Redgrave, Nightingale is inspired by memories of her maternal grandmother, Beatrice Kempson.

Nightingale was the sold-out highlight of Culture Project's recent Women Center Stage Festival and returns by popular demand. Nightingale is Lynn Redgrave's third play.  She is also the author of Shakespeare For My Father (which traces her relationship with her father, the late Michael Redgrave) and The Mandrake Root (loosely based on her mother, actress Rachel Kempson).

The Culture Project is located at 45 Bleecker Street, NYC.  Tickets are
available at Theatermania.com / (212) 352-3101.

The Corcoran Gallery of Art is located at 500 17th Street NW, Washington, DC.  Tickets are available at Corcoran.org / (202) 639-1774. (The Corcoran gallery reading is co-sponsored with The English Speaking Union and The Shakespeare Guild, in partnership with the British-American Business Association).
