"I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE" was the most proposal-friendly show in town Wednesday night at the Valentine's Day performance. Bill Vultaggio, manager of the Massapequa restaurant All American Hamburger, surprised everyone in attendance by coming out onstage at the end of the show to propose to his longtime girlfriend in the audience.
He proclaimed his love and commitment to Caitlin Gordon, ending his speech by saying, "I Love You, you're perfect, don't change." Then he leapt off the stage and got down on one knee before slipping the ring on her finger. The answer was yes. This marks the 54th onstage proposal at the love-happy hit musical, which is now playing in its 11th smash year at the Westside Theatre (407 West 43rd Street). All American Hamburger is a legendary establishment, owned and operated by the Vultaggio family since 1963.
