Lisa Kron will star in the Huntington Theatre Company's upcoming production of her play Well, which will run from March 9-April 8 at the Boston University Theatre.

Joining Kron, who starred in the play on Broadway, will be Mary Pat Gleason (Stopping Traffic, The Odd Couple national tour, films such as Intolerable Cruelty), as well as Colman Domingo, Donnetta Lavinia Grays (both understudies in the Broadway production), John McAdams, and Barbara Pitts.

Leigh Silverman, who directed Well on Broadway, will return to stage the show at Huntington Theatre Company.

"Poor Lisa Kron. All she wants to do is put on a play about her family, and their issues of illness and wellness. But her hypochondriac mother keeps interrupting, telling her own versions of Lisa's carefully constructed medical memories, and causing chaos with the cast. This hysterical and touching theatrical event was the critics' darling of the 2006 Broadway season," state Huntington notes.  Well, which premiered at the Public Theater, ran on Broadway from March 30th through May 13th, 2006.  Jayne Houdyshell was Kron's Broadway co-star.  Both received Tony nominations for their work.

Kron has written and starred in several New York hits including the solo show 2.5-Minute Ride, and Oedipus at Palm Springs, featuring her acclaimed theatre troupe The Five Lesbian Brothers.
