BROAWAY ORIGINALS Concert To Close Town Hall Festival, Featuring FALSETTOS Tribute

The Broadway Originals Concert, part of the three-day Broadway Cabaret Festival next month at Town Hall, will feature a tribute to William Finn's Tony-winning FALSETTOS on October 18 at 3:00pm. Broadway Originals Concert will mark the finale of the Cabaret Festival weekend.

This three-concert series, taking place over the weekend of October 16 - October 18 is written and hosted by Scott Siegel. 

Original FALSETTOS stars Michael Rupert, Stephen Bogardus, Barbara Walsh, Chip Zien and Jonathan Kaplan will perform.

Joining them are Stephanie J. Block, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Julia Murney, Kerry O'Malley and Sharon McNight, each of whom will perform numbers they once made famous Song by Stephen Sondheim, Stephen Schwartz, Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg will additionally be performed.

The Festival kick off with a tribute to David Merrick on Oct. 16 at 8:00pm by Tony Award nominees Robert Cuccioli, Stephen Bogardus, Lee Roy Reams and MAC Award winner Jim Caruso. The evening honors Merrick's sixty-year career which spawned the original productions of Gypsy, Oliver!, Hello, Dolly!, 42nd Street, Mack & Mabel, and I Do! I Do!.

Also featured is a performance by Linda Eder, who will take the stage on October 17, coinciding with the release of her new CD, Soundtrack. With signature songs like "Vienna" and "Someone Like You," the concert will treat audiences to new arrangements of popular classics, as well as performances of original material from Soundtrack, which will be released on Tuesday, October 13th.

Scott Siegel has created for The Town Hall, three acclaimed and popular series: Broadway By The Year®, now in its tenth season, the Broadway Cabaret Festival and the Broadway Summer Festival.
