Lincoln Center Theater Extends 4000 MILES Through June 17

Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of André Bishop, Artistic Director, and Bernard Gersten, Executive Producer) has announced that it will extend the run of its critically acclaimed production of Amy Herzog's 4000 MILES, directed by Daniel Aukin, through Sunday, June 17 at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater (150 West 65 Street). The production, which features Gabriel Ebert, Greta Lee, Mary Louise Wilson and Zoë Winters, began performances March 15, opened on April 2 and originally scheduled to run through Sunday, May 20, had its world premiere last June as a production of LCT3, Lincoln Center Theater's programming initiative devoted to producing the work of new artists and developing new audiences. After losing his best friend while they were on a cross-country bike trip, 21 year-old Leo (Gabriel Ebert) seeks solace with his feisty 91 year-old grandmother (Mary Louise Wilson) in her West Village apartment. 4000 Miles examines how these two outsiders find their way in today's world. The production has sets by Lauren Helpern, costumes by Kaye Voyce, lighting by Japhy Weideman and original music and sound by Ryan Rumery.

This spring, LCT is also presenting the Tony Award winning production of War Horse, co-produced with The National Theatre of Great Britain and Bob Boyett, adapted from the Michael Morpurgo novel by Nick Stafford with the Handspring Puppet Company and directed by Marianne Elliott and Tom Morris, at the Vivian Beaumont Theater, Jon Robin Baitz's Other Desert Cities, directed by Joe Mantello, on Broadway at the Booth Theatre and is also a co-producer of the current Broadway production of Bruce Norris' Clybourne Park, directed by Pam MacKinnon at the Walter Kerr Theatre. In June, LCT will open its newest stage, the Claire Tow Theater which will be the home of LCT3, with Slowgirl, a new play by Greg Pierce, directed by Anne Kauffman.

The playing schedule for 4000 MILES is Tuesday through Saturday evenings at 8pm, with matinees Wednesday and Saturday at 2pm and Sunday at 3pm.
