PS Classics will release a recording of 'Life Begins at 8:40' on June 8. The Harold Arlen, Ira Gershwin and Yip Harburg collabrative revue was presented in concert at The Library of Congress on March 22 with Kate Baldwin, Montego Glover, Philip Chaffin, Christopher Fitzgerald, Rebecca Luker, Brad Oscar, Graham Rowat, Jessica Stone and Faith Prince. Both the concert and the recording were conducted by Aaron Grandy.

The song list includes 'Life begins (at Exactly 8:40 or Thereabouts)', 'Spring Fever,' 'You're a Builder-Upper,' 'My Paramount-Publix-Roxy-Rose,' 'Shoein' The Mare,' 'Quartet Erotica,' 'Fun to Be Fooled,' 'C'est la Vie,' 'What Can You Say in a Love Song (That hasn't been said before),' 'Let's Take a Walk Around The Block,' 'Things,' '(All) The Elks and the Masons,' 'I Couldn't Hold My Man,' 'A Weekend Cruise (Will You Love Me Monday Morning as you did on Friday Night?),' 'It was long ago,' 'I'm Not Myself,' and 'Life Begins at City Hall (Beautifying The City).

The revue originally opened on broadway in 1934 at the Winder Garden Theatre. 'Life Begins at 8:40' ran 237 performances.
