Lewis Stars in Premiere of LaChiusa's Hotel C'est L'Amour

Vicki Lewis will headline the world premiere of Hotel C'est L'Amour, a new musical featuring songs by Michael John LaChiusa.  The show will run in Los Angeles from September 26th through November 5th at the Blank Theatre's 2nd Stage; opening night is set for September 30th.

With music and lyrics by LaChiusa (Bernarda Alba, See What I Wanna See, The Wild Party), Hotel C'est L'Amour is conceived and directed by Daniel Henning.

"Hotel C'est L'Amour takes you to a magical honeymoon suite where a young bride and groom try to release their separate pasts in order to begin their married life together," according to Blank notes.  "Using songs from 5-time Tony-nominated composer LaChiusa's produced and unproduced works, Hotel C'est L'Amour is a musical Rorschach Test, open to your interpretation."

In addition to Lewis, the production will star Rick Corenette, Daren A. Hebert, Jennifer Malenke, and America Olivia.

Lewis currently Stars in the Reprise! Broadway's Best staged concert presentation of My One and Only.  She has appeared on Broadway in Chicago, Damn Yankees, Wind in the Willows, and Do Black Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up?.  She also appeared on the popular sitcom "NewsRadio."

Produced by Stacy Reed, Gwendolyn Bailey and "ER" star Noah Wyle, Hotel C'est L'Amour will feature musical direction by Christy Cowl, sets by Kurtis Bedford, lighting by Ellen Monocroussos and costumes by Sherry Linnell.
