Lena Hall to Release New Music and Videos Weekly as Tribute to Her Favorite Artists

According to the New York Times, Tony-winning actress Lena Hall will soon begin a new project call "Obsessed," where she will release a new EP album on the first Friday of every month, as well as a music video every week.

The project begins on January 5 with songs from Hedwig and the Angry Inch, which Hall starred in on Broadway in 2014, a role for which she won the Tony Award for best featured actress in a musical. On Friday, Hall will also release two music videos.

A tentative schedule reveals upcoming tributes to everyone from Peter Gabriel and Elton John to Beck and Pink. Also included are Nirvana, Jack White, Radiohead, The Cranberries, Muse, David Bowie, and Chris Cornell.

The upcoming EPs will be produced by SKB Records (Sh-K-Boom/Ghostlight).

Born and raised in San Francisco, CA, Lena Hall traveled the world performing and received her first big break singing for Pope John Paul II at Candlestick Stadium for over 50,000 people at the young age of 7. Hall was a member of the Young People's Teen Musical Theatre Company in San Francisco and at the age of 17, joined the national tour of Cats. When not on the Broadway stage, Lena performs with her band The Deafening.
