In the years since Savion Glover first exploded onto the stage in Bring In da Noise, Bring In da Funk, he has engaged in a relentlessly curious search for new ways to showcase tap dance while stripping it down to its essence. In his latest creation, SoLo iN TiMe, Glover and company weave together tap song compositions and flamenco tradition in a breathtakingly electric montage of speed, rhythm, and song.  The performance takes place on Sunday, March 6, 2011 at 4pm at Lehman Center for the Performing Arts, 250 Bedford Park Boulevard West in the Bronx.

SoLo iN TiME: Using tap as sound, and sound as dance, explores the relationship between flamenco music and tap dancing as song. The exciting work is a continuation of the HooFeRzCLuB tradition of attributing music through tap dancing's percussiveness. Accompanied by his newest dance band Bare Soundz, live flamenco vibes, Glover and company present a full out show.

Savion Glover made his Broadway debut in The Tap Dance Kid at age 12.  He came to prominence in 1996, starring in Broadway's Bring in 'da Noise/Bring in 'da Funk for which he received a Tony Award for Best Choreography and a Tony nomination for Best Actor in a Musical.  Glover's other Broadway credits include Black and Blue (for which he was one of the youngest males to be nominated for a Tony Award) and Jelly's Last Jam.  He was also in the film Tap with Gregory Hines and Sammy Davis, Jr. and Spike Lee's Bamboozled, and was part of the cast of the children's series Sesame Street.
