According to The Huffington Post, Lady Gaga is set to make her first public appearance since undergoing hip surgery in March at this year's NYC Gay Pride Kick Off Rally.

A source close to the New York City Pride organization revealed to HuffPost Gay Voices that the international superstar would speak at the event, to be hosted by "RuPaul's Drag Race"s Pandora Boxx. The rally will be held at New York's Pier 26 sometime between 7 and 10pm tonight.

The recording artist, who is a staunch supporter of gay rights, recently canceled the remainder of her 'Born This Way Ball' tour due to a serious injury which required the surgery. Since that time, she has not made a public appearance.

Representatives for Gaga did not respond to the HuffPost's request for confirmation on the report, however the singer, who is currently completing her upcoming "ARTPOP" album, may very well appear at the event to show her support for the recent Supreme Court ruling on gay marriage.

It was recently confirmed that fellow diva Cher will perform at the Pier Dance, taking place on Sunday. For further information about the New York City Pride Kick Off Rally, beginning at 7pm on Friday, June 28 at Pier 26, and the Pier Dance, starting at 3pm on Sunday, June 30 at Pier 26, click here.
