Key Wilde and Mr Clarke are known for their wildly imaginative, whimsically narrative songwriting and distinctive harmonic sound. Their 2009 release Rise and Shine won a Parents' Choice GOLD Award, and their EPs Hey, Pepito! and Happy Holidaysattracted national acclaim and radio play. Their kid-friendly and sophistically funny songs get regular rotation on SiriusXM's Kids Place Live and WXPN FM's Kids Corner radio, among many other shows nationwide.

At theaters including Symphony Space to World Café Live and at more informal venues including Kindiefest and the NYC summer parks series, the dynamic duo delivers their whimsical story-songs with involving, visually dynamic performances.

Critics love their "farm-funk sound, as fresh as it is entertaining" (Cookie magazine) whose music "will lift kids' spirits in the morning, or anytime" (Parentingmagazine). As Dadnabbit/Popdose notes,"Key Wilde and Mr. Clarke don't pander with their arrangements, which are stripped-down,folk-flavored, and often totally rockin' in the bargain - not to mention catchy, too." And Parents' Choice simply says that the duo create "clever, laugh-out-loud lyrics, from musicians who clearly enjoy their work."

The duo began their musical collaboration in the 1990s in New York, honing their antifolk repertoire and tight harmonies. Wilde, now the father of two children, grew up in Texas and has built a reputation not only for his music but also for his illustrations, which have appeared in newspapers, magazines, Avanti greeting cards and children's books. Mr Clarke was born in the U.K., grew up in France and has lived in New York since the 1980s. Currently a high school science and special education teacher, he hones his performance skills before the toughest audience on the planet-adolescents-by blowing things up in front of the classroom. "It does get their attention," he quips.
