Tony nominee Keala Settle (Les Miserables, Hands on a Hardbody), Eddie Korbich (Gentlemen's Guide) and Rachel de Benedet (Catch Me If You Can) will head the cast of an April 10th industry reading of The Chocolate Legacy, a new play by Ted Malawer.

The Chocolate Legacy is billed as an absurd comedy about murder, money, musical theater, leprechauns, and, of course, family. It tells the story of two estranged sons who return home to learn which of them will inherit the family's chocolate company until a long-lost sister threatens to disrupt their plans.

Kim Weild directs the reading which also includes Kyle Adams, Sean Patrick Doyle (La Cage), Ariana Shore (The Performers) and Brandon Uranowitz (Baby It's You).

The Chocolate Legacy is the inaugural offering from playwright and author Ted Malawer whose other plays include The Husband Machine and Framed. He has penned five novels including the Mystic City series, The Diamonds and Crash Test Love and is executive producer of the upcoming feature film Fallen directed by Oscar nominee Scott Hicks.

Kim Weild is the associate director of the Broadway bound musical Amazing Grace. Her production of Charles Mee's Fêtes de la Nuit was nominated for a Drama Desk Award as Unique Theatrical Experience and received seven nominations from the New York Innovative Theatre Awards, winning two, including one for Weild as Outstanding Director.
