Katie Finneran Offers Master Class at The Davenport Studios Today

Two-time Tony Award winner Katie Finneran (Promises, PromisesNoises Off, TV's "I Hate My Teenage Daughter") will offer an acting and musical theatre performance master class today, April 27th from 6:30pm to 10:30pm at The Davenport Studios in Midtown Manhattan.

Katie Finneran has played Tony, Drama Desk, and Outer Critics Circle award-winning roles in Promises, Promises and Noises Off, and has carried that expertise to film and television, most recently starring in the FOX sitcom, "I Hate My Teenage Daughter."  During this intimate master class, she will use her experience to work one-on-one with a select group of participants on a song or monologue of their choice, focusing on interpretation, approach, and performance technique. Participants and auditors will have the opportunity to ask questions during a Q&A session following the class.

Katie Finneran received Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards for her performance in the recent Broadway revival of Promises, Promises. Ms. Finneran also won Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards for her performance in the Broadway revival of Noises Off.  Her other Broadway appearances include Mauritius, Sally Bowles in Cabaret, The Iceman Cometh, Neil Simon's Proposals, The Heiress, In the Summerhouse, My Favorite Year, Two Shakespearean Actors and On Borrowed Time. Off-Broadway, Ms. Finneran has been seen in Love, Loss & What I Wore, You Never Can Tell, Pig Farm, Arms and the Man, Encores! Li'l Abner, Bosoms and Neglect, A Fair Country and Edith Stein.  She made her London debut in the West End production of David Lindsay-Abaire's Fuddy Meers.  Ms. Finneran made her New York Philharmonic debut in an all-star revival of Stephen Sondheim's Company and can be seen in the corresponding film version of the production.  Her other film appearances include Baby on Board, Untitled Peter Farrelly Film, Broken Bridges, Firehouse Dog, Miss Congeniality 2, Bewitched, You've Got Mail, Liberty Heights, and Night of the Living Dead. Ms. Finneran has been seen as a regular on the television series' "I Hate My Teenage Daughter," "The Inside," "Wonderfalls," and "Bram and Alice." She may also be familiar to television audiences from her recurring roles on "Frasier" and "Oz."
