BROADWAY BY THE YEAR: 1997 Plays Town Hall Tonight

The Town Hall (123 W 43rd Street), New York's landmark concert venue will conclude the 11th season of the acclaimed Broadway By The Year® Series with The Broadway Musicals of 1997 tonight, June 20th at 8PM. Performers already announced from the 1997 hit Jekyll & Hyde include Robert Cuccioli (Tony Nominee), Linda Eder (Drama Desk Nominee), and Christiane Noll (who will also be directing the concert). From 1997's The Life, Lillias White (Tony Winner) and Chuck Cooper (Tony Winner) will perform, along with the previously announced Karen Ziemba (Tony Nominee) from 1997's Steel Pier (Tony Nominee), and The Scarlet Pimpernel's acclaimed star Christine Andreas.

Christiane Noll is making her directorial debut with this concert along with choreography byJeffry Denman. Ross Patterson is the musical director. Scott Siegel takes the audience on a musical journey, exploring the history of the Great White Way, and providing social anecdotes while showcasing beloved hits and lesser-known gems from the golden age of Broadway.

The Broadway Musicals of 1997 is part of The Town Hall's 90th Anniversary that concludes with The Blue Note Jazz Festival's concert with Dee Dee Bridgewater and special guest Christette Michelle (June 24th).

Upcoming is The Town Hall's Fifth Annual Summer Broadway Festival in July, which is created, written, and hosted by Scott Siegel, featuring Broadway Winners on July 11, Broadway's Rising Stars on July 18, and All Singin' All Dancin' on July 25.
