Celebrated cabaret performer Karen Mason brings a little holiday cheer to The Big Apple with "Karen Mason and Friends: Christmas in the City," a festive holiday concert featuring special guests Liz Callaway, Gregg Edelman, and The Accidentals. This special one-night-only engagement will take place Saturday December 22 at 5PM & 8PM at The Peter Jay Sharp Theatre at Symphony Space, located at 2537 Broadway at 95th Street. Barry Kleinbort is Director, and Christopher Denny is Musical Director.

Karen Mason's Christmas shows are legendary for their wit, verve, and originality. This year's concert features a colorful selection of holiday classics and original songs, ranging from witty contemporary tunes to heartwarming ballads. Highlights include: "River" by Joni Mitchell; Mel Tormé's "The Christmas Song;" "We Three Kings;" "Santa Claus is Coming to Town;" "Winter Wonderland;" "Let it Snow;" "Silent Night;" "I'll Be Home for Christmas;" "Not This Christmas," an original song by Brian Lasser and Barry Kleinbort; Paul Rolnick's "It'll be Christmas Before You Know It;" "Sweetest of Nights" by Shelly Markhan and Judith Viorst; and "I Eat" by Brian Lasser and Barry Kleinbort.

Karen Mason originated the role of Tanya in the hit Broadway musical Mamma Mia! (2002 Drama Desk nomination) and graced the stage as Norma Desmond in Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber's Sunset Boulevard. She recently completed her fourth year of sold-out shows at The Chase Room at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC), plus two sold-out performances at The Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, Spain, and performed in an Irving Berlin tribute with Maestro Peter Nero and his legendary orchestra, The Philly Pops.

Award-winning actress, singer and recording artist Liz Callaway has appeared on Broadway in Merrily We Roll Along, Baby, Cats, Miss Saigon, The Three Musketeers, and The Look of Love. Her extensive concert and symphony work includes appearances at The Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, The Hollywood Bowl, and many others. Callaway has released three solo recordings: "The Beat Goes On," "The Story Goes On: Liz Callaway On and Off-Broadway," and "Anywhere I Wander: The Music of Frank Loesser."

Gregg Edelman received Tony Award nominations for his performances in City of Angels, Anna Karenina, 1776, Les Miserables, and Into the Woods, and most recently appeared on Broadway in Wonderful Town with Donna Murphy.

A cappella octet, The Accidentals are known for their sophisticated harmonies, off-beat humor, eclectic repertoire of original songs, and distinctive arrangements. Their four CDs have received international acclaim and numerous awards. Songs from their CDs have been featured in major films and network television shows including Spin City, JAG, and Boston Public. They have won three MAC Awards, a Back Stage Bistro Award, and the National Harmony Sweepstakes acappella championship in San Francisco. They have appeared with such artists as The Persuasions, Rockapella, The Roches, The Swingle Singers, Petula Clark, Jane Siberry, The Chordettes and Ben Vereen.
