Kansas City Rep Extends Run of TOM SAWYER Thru 2/19

Kansas City Rep is set to extend their family-friendly production of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, Mark Twain's classic coming-of-age story about a boy growing up in a small Missouri town on the banks of the Mississippi River.

"Thank you to Kansas City families for supporting The Adventures of Tom Sawyer – a magical production of a popular American story that takes place in Kansas City's backyard," said the Rep's artistic director Eric Rosen. "Shows like Tom Sawyer, and our annual production of A Christmas Carol, introduce many children and families to live theatre and provide their first 'I love theatre' moment."

Additional public performances for The Adventures of Tom Sawyer are:
8 p.m., Friday, February 17,
8 p.m., Saturday, February 18
2 p.m., Sunday, February 19

All performances of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer will take place in Spencer Theatre in the James C. Olson Performing Arts Center at 4949 Cherry Street, Kansas City, MO.

The cast of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer includes Tim McKiernan as Tom Sawyer (A Midsummer Night's Dream, The History Boys – New York); Robbie Tann as Huckleberry Finn (History of War, Much Ado about Nothing, Horatio's Rise – New York); Hayley Treider as Becky Thatcher (Double Falsehood – Off Broadway); Joseph Adams as Muff Potter (Come Back Little Sheba, The Real Inspector Hound, The Survivor – Broadway); Justin Fuller as Joe Harper (The Orphans Home Cycle – Off Broadway); Michael Nichols as Injun Joe/Minister/School Master (November with Nathan Lane, One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest with Gary Sinise – Broadway, Exit the King, Iphigenia at Aulis – Off Broadway); Nate Trinrud as Sid Sawyer/Doc Robinson (The Verona Project – California Shakespeare Theatre; Peter Pan – Lookingglass Theatre) and Nance Williamson as Aunt Polly/Widow Douglas (Syrano and Henry IV, both with Kevin Kline; Broken Glass – Broadway).
