"Friends" by Justin Bieber and BloopPop got a slight 'facelift.' The musicians recruited Julia Michaels for a remix of the track. It dropped on October 20.

Michaels co-wrote the song with the two artists and frequent writing partner Justin Tranter. She opens the track and harmonizes with Bieber throughout the song.

The two singers complete each other's thoughts, occupying the headspace of a now broken up couple who try to restore their relationship. "Wonderin' if you got a body/ To hold you tighter since I left," Bieber sings over the synth beat. "Wonderin' if you think about me/ Actually don't answer that." Ouch that's rough!

BloodPop and Bieber have collaborated in the past on the mega hit "Sorry" (don't lie that song is still stuck in your head)! Michaels also co-wrote the song from the singer's 2015 release "Purpose." This track is the first solo release since that album, although he has scored several number one hits this year as a featured artist on: a remix of Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's widely popular "Despacito" and DJ Khaled's "I'm The One."

Believe it or not, Michaels started out a songwriter writing tracks for Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez, Nick Jonas, Pink and of course Bieber, before releasing her first EP "Nervous System."
