Josh Lucas has left the role of the Gentleman Caller in the current Broadway revival of The Glass Menagerie to begin shooting Wolfgang Peterson's remake of The Poseidon Adventure; his final performance was on Sunday, June 5th.

Negotiations for a replacement for Lucas are currently underway; meanwhile, Lucas' understudy Joey Collins will fill in. Collins played Tom Wingfield in between the dismissed Dallas Roberts and current star Christian Slater.

Lucas
is a rising screen star who has appeared in Sweet Home Alabama, Restless, You Can Count on Me, American Psycho, The Weight of Water, The Deep End, Session 9, A Beautiful Mind, Hulk, Secondhand Lions, Wonderland and Undertow. Three more films with Lucas will be released this year: An Unfinished Life, Stealth and Glory Road. He played Judas in Manhattan Theatre Club's 1998 production of the controversial Terrence McNally play Corpus Christi.
