Jordan Seavey's new play, 6969, will begin at 59E59 Theaters on February 8th for a limited engagement through Saturday, February 24. Opening night is Saturday, February 10 at 8:30 PM.

6969, presented by CollaborationTown, will be directed by Matthew Hopkins (Dante's Inferno, The Astronomer's Triangle, etc. for CollaborationTown). According to press notes, "6969 takes as its source the bizarrely true story of Mark and John, two teenage boys who start an intense and very personal friendship over the internet. Then their chatroom is invaded by a very naughty schoolgirl, a rapist who thinks he's Jesus, and a sex-starved secret agent, which lead to a string of grisly murders. Highly theatrical, dark, often funny and sometimes shocking, 6969 illuminates and elaborates on the mysterious true events of 2003 that lead to a gruesome crime."

"Inspired by an article in Vanity Fair, 6969 digs deep into the ideas of friendship, responsibility and love. The play reveals a shocking and moving motive behind an entire chain of events and solidifies CollaborationTown as a bold company that celebrates theatrical invention and honest storytelling."

The cast features Julia Henderson, Boo Killebrew, Ryan Purcell, Max Rosenak, Daniel Walker Stowell and Phillip Taratula. The design team features sets by Geoffrey Decas; costumes by Leon Dobkowski; lights by Mike Riggs and sound by Brandon Wolcott.

Seavey co-founded CollaborationTown, acting as head playwright for the ensemble-created Dante's Inferno, The Trading Floor and The Astronomer's Triangle. Other plays include Are You Writing From the Heart, This is a Newspaper, Children at Play, American Child, The Long Distance and 69 Love Scenes.

The performance schedule is Wednesday –Saturday at 8:30 PM, and Sunday at 2:30 PM. Performances are at 59E59 Theaters (59 East 59th Street, between Park and Madison Avenues). Tickets are $18 ($12.60 for 59E59 Members). To purchase tickets, call Ticket Central at (212) 279-4200 or go to www.ticketcentral.com. For more information, visit www.59e59.org
