John C. Reilly will headline the cast of Heather Woodbury's Tale of 2Cities: An American Joyride on Multiple Tracks, a two-part epic that will be seen in separate performances at P.S. 122 from October 12th through 29th.

The actor, who received an Oscar nomination for his work in the film version of Chicago, will join a cast of six other performers in recounting "two milestone acts of urban erasure -- demolition of Ebbets Field when the Dodgers left Brooklyn and the contemporaneous destruction of Chavez Ravine in Los Angeles," according to earlier press notes.  The show uses a "multi-racial cast to traverse times and places over the course of 50 years of American History."

Woodbury, the recipient of the first Spalding Gray Award,
is the founder and artistic director of Fomenting Arts Unlimited, Inc. and is a noted lecturer as well as writer.  Other works include the  multi-part, 10-hour solo play what ever (An American Odyssey in 8 ACTS).

Reilly received a Tony nomination for his work in the revival of True West.  Other Broadway credits include A Streetcar Named Desire and The Grapes of Wrath, while on film, he has been seen in Talladega Nights, The Aviator, Anger Management, The Hours, Gangs of New York, Magnolia, Boogie Nights, What's Eating Gilbert Grape, Shadows and Fog, and many more.
